Environment & Renewables PR

Environmental PR issues encompass a number of areas, from the communication of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) to the uptake of novel renewable energy projects. Whatever your interest, Oxtale has the scientific background and communication skills to handle this.

Environment PR

Our interests include food production and its impact on the environment, energy – not only the effect fossil fuels have on our air, water and climate but also the development of renewable technologies, and resource efficiency including recycling and waste management.

We have significant experience of environmental PR and communications in farming, food production and wider industries – for example honing scientific reports looking at greenhouse gas emissions from farming and food processing, communicating the safety of agrochemical and fertiliser use, and publicising good environmental practice to the cement-making industry.  We have a good relationship with environmental journalists and are able to ensure media contact is as constructive as possible.

Ben Webster, Environment Editor, The Times, says:
“You arranged a fascinating visit, provided great access to your client, were a constant fount of information and contacts, and helped me understand the wider perspective.  It would have been much harder to write the story without your help and it would have been weaker as a result.”

Renewable energy PR

Oxtale’s experience in renewables or renewable energy PR includes working with proposed wind farm developments, biogas enterprises and anaerobic digestion plants, such as consulting with the communities surrounding the sites, engaging them in the development plans and encouraging dialogue. A scientific background and working knowledge of biogas, biomass, solar, wave, tidal, osmotic and geothermal technologies means we can understand your renewable energy challenge and advise you of the best way to communicate your project.

Tony Scorer, Head of Onshore Development, EDF Energy Renewables, says:
“The quality of presentation material, organisation of exhibitions and management of key stakeholders and consultees has been exemplary, as have the continuing dialogue and engagement with the local community.”
